Music is an integral part of worship at St. John’s. We invite people of all ages to share their talents both in the Historic Church and in All Saints Hall with our many musical groups.
The wise words of St. Augustine, “they who sing, pray twice,” capture the enduring essence of sacred music. All members of the congregation, whether in a musical group or not, become ministers of music every time you raise your voices to sing sacred songs and hymns.
If music is something that speaks to you, please consider joining one of our musical ensembles. Let us make a “beautiful noise” together!
ST. JOHN'S CHOIR
The adult choir sings weekly at the 11:00 a.m. service in the Historic Church from September to June, including the celebrations of Christmas and Holy Week. They sing a variety of choral music spanning several centuries and provide at least one anthem each week. Membership is open to high school students and older. Rehearsals are in the choir loft on Thursdays from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Rehearsals are every Thursday in the church choir loft from 7:00-8:30 p.m. Contact: Justin Pechulis
