WORSHIP AT ST. JOHN'S

St. John's offers a variety of worship services. There are services with traditional music, contemporary music, and without music. There are early morning services, mid-day services, and evening services. There are small, intimate services and large, expansive services. Below is a description of our weekly services. Children are welcome at all services; however, if you prefer, there is a Nursery available for children younger than three years old from 8:50-11:30 a.m. It is located in the Shiflet Center for Ministry & Education (SCME), Room 141.

CONTEMPLATIVE WORSHIP - Saturdays at 5:00 p.m.; Resurrection Chapel

This worship service uses Rite II from the Book of Common Prayer, has no music, and plenty of quiet reflection.

TRADITIONAL WORSHIP - Sundays at 8:00 & 10:15 a.m.; Historic Church

  • 8:00 a.m.: This service uses Rite II from the Book of Common Prayer, and includes congregational singing accompanied by our Director of Music Ministry on the pipe organ. The service runs about 45 minutes.

  • 10:15 a.m.: This service is a full Eucharistic celebration and includes our Director of Music Ministries on the beautiful pipe organ with rotating Adult, Youth, and Handbell Choirs. This service runs about 60 minutes, followed by fellowship time. (Rite II)

 

CONTEMPORARY WORSHIP - Sundays at 10:15 a.m.; All Saints Hall
This upbeat, family-oriented service enjoys a large attendance and is for those who prefer a more relaxed, contemporary setting and music. Music is provided by the All Saints Hall (ASH) Singers and Band. There is also a Children's Chapel with a specially-designed sermon for our younger members. The service runs about 60 minutes, followed by fellowship. All Saints Hall which is located in the Shiflet Center for Ministry & Education. (Rite II)

KOREAN LANGUAGE WORSHIP - Sundays at 10:15 a.m.; Resurrection Chapel

  • Every evening, 9:00 p.m., Compline via Facebook Live*

  • Tuesday, 6:00 p.m., Evening Prayer with Centering Prayer, Resurrection Chapel

  • Wednesday, 6:00 p.m., Dinner Church, Resurrection Chapel

  • 1st & 3rd Thursdays, 7:30 a.m., Holy Eucharist with Healing, Resurrection Chapel, Parish Life Center (lower level)
    Remaining Thursdays, 7:30 a.m., Morning Prayer, Resurrection Chapel, Parish Life Center (lower level)
